Cemetery Management and Federal Compliance: Care & Maintenance Fund, Account Requirements and Annual Licensure Reporting

Attend this one day interactive workshop to ensure that you are in compliance with the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 when providing municipal approvals, handling areas of cemetery operations or completing your Annual Licensure Report. This workshop will reinforce the requirement to establish, maintain, and ensure compliance with legislation in regard to care and maintenance funds/accounts and pre-paid trusting and reporting; balancing consumer interests with business interests to ensure longevity of cemeteries and bereavement businesses and ensure consumer protection.

What You Will Learn:

You will learn about the various areas of involvement of Municipalities with the Bereavement Sector, especially as it pertains to the approvals and operations of cemeteries and crematoriums. More importantly, what you learn and apply will ensure that the community you serve can expect efficient, reliable, respectful and dignified services at their time of need.

Why Attend:

Attendance at this training session may reduce the liability that you and your employer could face should there be non-compliance or violations of the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 and related Regulations.
