Municipal law is a complex, constantly evolving area of municipal affairs. The goal of the Municipal Law Program (MLP) is to provide you with a general understanding of municipal legal matters and the knowledge of how far to proceed before seeking professional advice.
Unlike other AMCTO courses, where a certificate is issued upon conclusion of the entire units of the program, a Certificate of Completion is awarded once you have successfully completed each MLP Unit.
MLP was re-developed for implementation of the new curriculum during the Winter 2016 Term. Anyone returning to take another MLP Unit will complete them under the new curriculum.
Although each unit of MLP are stand-a-lone certificate programs, completing all four units within a three-year timeline is a element of the AMCTO's Diploma in Municipal Administration (DMA).
